Running Blog

This is the first sample of hopefully many posts about my life as a Division 1 track athlete. I'm an 400/800 runner at the University of Rhode Island who aspires to run professionally someday. As a film major here at URI, I spend some of my free time screenwriting and directing short movies. It's been a while since I've last completed a film, as I usually lose focus about midway through the screen writing process and move onto another project. However, if you want to hear more about screenwriting, you should find another blog; this one is devoted to running.

Currently, my personal records include a 49.55 in the 400, a 1:53.82 in the 800, and a 1:03.41 in the 500 (good for second in New England's this indoor season), all three of which I have ran this year. I've also split a 48.7 in the 4x4 before (last year) and ran a 1:22.1 600 in a workout.

Next up on the track for me are the Atlantic Ten Championships. I'm leaving by plane for Charlotte, NC at 6am Friday. Yikes. Right now the weather forcast is hot and rainy, which is an upgrade from the cold and rainy we've had all season. I'll be doing the 4x8, open 800, and 4x4. I'll be back on later to post the results.
